Basil Gin Gimlet


  • 50ml Gin
  • 25ml Simple Syrup
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Sprig of fresh Basil Leaves



In a cocktail shaker, place some ice, and add in 5-6 torn up basil  leaves, top this with the double pour of Gin (50ml) and the single pour of Simple Syrup. Roll the lime on the counter top, pressing down, this helps release the juice, then cut in half and squeeze in the lime juice.
Pop the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake for a good 20 seconds.
Pour out into your glass, there will be vibrant flecks of basil in the drink - delish! Garnish with a couple of whole basil leaves threaded on a cocktail stick.
