‘Flavours of the New Forest’ Seasonal Dining Success

Last week we hosted a special seasonal dining evening ‘Flavours of the New Forest’ at the beautiful Stanwell House Boutique Hotel in Lymington.
Our mission was to showcase the outstanding quality of food and drink produced in our unique area of the UK. Guests enjoyed a delicious five-course menu crafted entirely from New Forest Marque accredited ingredients, from artisan cheeses and craft gin to sustainably sourced meat, seafood, and honey.
We were also treated to talks from Beekeeper Jack Stride of Strides New Forest Honey, Commoner Andrew-Parry Norton from The Commoner’s Larder, and local Folklorist Brice Stratford, who shared engaging insights into New Forest food and heritage.

It was a fantastic sell-out evening full of expertly crafted dishes, a selection of the finest New Forest beverages, and enthusiastic chatter from both guests and speakers. We’d like to thank all the producers involved, the team at Stanwell House for their professionalism and warmth, and everyone who attended in support of our mission to champion local!
We’re excited to share that hopefully this is just the first in a new series of seasonal dining evenings, all designed to shine a spotlight on the best of the New Forest’s food, drink and cultural heritage. We hope you can join us for the next one!
