Spring 2026 marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the New Forest Marque and the New Forest Heritage Centre in Lyndhurst to deliver a themed exhibition showcasing the work of our members: ‘From Myth to Maker’ – New Forest folklore in New Forest crafts.

A specially curated selection of Marque members and artisans have been delving into the ancient legends of our Forest, to find inspiration in expressing that lore through their work. This exhibition showcases what they have produced, and demonstrates how the old tales can be still made into liveable, touchable (and in some cases wearable) reality.

‘From Myth to Maker’ brings you a fantastical display of artwork, costumes, sculptures, poetry and more, all inspired by New Forest Folklore. Not one to miss!

On daily until 31st May at the New Forest Heritage Centre, Lyndhurst, SO43 7NY. Free entry.
