Here at the New Forest Marque, we’re delighted to support more than ten local beekeepers.

Bees are essential for the health and wellbeing of the planet and its inhabitants. The role of bees as pollinators of plants and crops makes them vital for food supplies, but the number of honey bees around the world is rapidly declining.

That’s why the skill and art of beekeeping is more important than ever, helping to increase and protect the bee population and preserve the environmental and cultural importance of this winged insect.

The latest beekeeper to join the scheme is Jazz Bee Honey. With hives located in the New Forest, they’re proud to have been producing an unadulterated product since 2007.

You can find Jazz Bee Honey at local markets across the New Forest. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more info.

If you’re interested in beekeeping, don’t forget to visit our Beekeeping Exhibition at the New Forest Heritage Centre this April. We’re excited to be welcoming all our fantastic New Forest Marque beekeepers to sell some of their produce and promote the long history and importance of beekeeping in the New Forest.
