Warm welcome to the latest addition to the New Forest Marque – Haunted New Forest.
Haunted New Forest offers immersive ghost tours and storytelling experiences set in the mysterious and ancient landscapes of the New Forest. Blending rich local folklore, documented hauntings, and historical insight, Haunted New Forest provides guided tours and events that cater to thrill-seekers, history buffs, and paranormal enthusiasts alike.
Led by storyteller Hugh (above), events are held within historic towns & villages, and reputedly haunted sites, sharing spine-tingling tales backed by historical research and eyewitness accounts. They also host private bookings, seasonal events (such as Halloween and solstice specials), and educational talks that explore the darker side of the New Forest’s past. Haunted New Forest delivers unforgettable experiences that connect visitors with the supernatural heritage of one of England’s most enchanted regions.
Hugh is thrilled to be part of the New Forest Marque. When asked what motivated him to become a member he explained:
The New Forest and the people of it are very close to my heart. I joined the New Forest Marque to be part of a group of like minded businesses who want to cherish and protect the traditions, produce and craft of the area. I’m playing my small part, championing the local heritage and stories of the land- ensuring they are kept alive for future generations of the forest as well as tourists to the area.
By supporting local, we are ensuring a sustainable future for the forest. There are so many excellent resources in the forest available to us that are being used to create brilliant products- often intertwining traditional crafting methods in the process. It’s local people in-printing their way of life into their products. It’s a no brainer for me.
