Discover a bygone rural age at the Longdown Vintage Farm Rally

Enjoy a weekend of rural nostalgia at Longdown Activity Farm and visit The Longdown Vintage Farm Rally featuring vintage tractors and machinery as well as bygone exhibits on Sat 20th May and Sun 21st May 2017 between 10am and 4pm each day. The Farm itself will be open until 5pm. The two-day event is organised by the New Forest Group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club. It will feature a static display of vintage tractor beauties, which will be parading and taking part in events. There will be period working machinery such as the beautiful Liberty: a full-size steam engine, also a working sawmill with fascinating woodcutting demonstrations, and other country exhibits. Don’t miss the Victorian Country Kitchen featuring costumed Victorian workers and cooks showing how we used to produce and make our food.
Enjoy live music with folk singers, a ukulele band, and hand-made musical instruments which will add entertainment to the rural country charm. Why not join in! Plenty for the children: bumpy tractor rides all day and the children v tractor tug of war! (Tractor events – ground conditions permitting.)
All this, PLUS you can meet our friendly farm animals during a full schedule of farm activities lasting all day, which includes bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, small animal handling and feeding the pigs.
Be sure to pick up some delicious local produce from our Farm Shop before you leave, not forgetting poultry and small animal feed and equipment should you need it.
There’ll be a rural surprise around every corner!
Supporting SCARF: a charity for special children and their relatives and friends.
Entry to the show is included in the normal admission price to Longdown Activity Farm. Children under 3 are free. Because of the nature of the show, some exhibits or attractions may not appear or be replaced at short notice.
