‘Meet the Team’ – Inspired Membership and Events Coordinator: Jasmin Power

Meet Jasmin, Membership and Events Coordinator for the creative members of the Marque that belong to our ‘Inspired’ category.

A crochet enthusiast and skilled amigurumi (small crochet figures) maker, Jasmin first joined the Marque as an Inspired member back in spring 2024. Jasmin was welcomed by the warm community feeling of the group, and the support it gave her with her small crochet business ‘Jasmin Makes Stuff’.

‘The support I received from the Marque was incredible, and I immediately became involved with supplying to local shops and exhibiting my work at markets, and large events like the New Forest Show and Hampshire Open Studios. My fellow Inspired creators are so diverse in their art and their experiences, and we all collaborate and share ideas and advice with one another in such a nurturing and positive way.’ -Jasmin Power

In January this year Jasmin stepped into the role as Inspired Membership and Events Coordinator,  and has already taken the lead on a number of exciting projects.

When not crocheting Jasmin works as a qualified Dispensing Optician and is also a lecturer and coach for the optics industry. Outside of work she shares her home in the New Forest with her husband and three rescue dogs. She also volunteers at a local greyhound rescue, and hopes one day she will have enough land to rescue even more dogs, and perhaps the odd pony or pig!
