New Forest Collection are a homegrown group of hospitality venues based in the New Forest
National Park. Consisting of 4 hotels; Bartley Lodge, Beaulieu Inn, Burley Manor, Forest Lodge and
bed & breakfast Moorhill House, alongside their pub & restaurant The Drift. Most recently, at the
New Forest and Hampshire County Show, they were awarded Highly Commended Sustainability
Champion at the 10th anniversary New Forest Awards for their commitment to carbon reduction and
sustainability initiatives.

The New Forest Awards, in partnership with Country Land and Business Association (CLA), celebrates
the best of local producers, young nature, environmental and farming enthusiasts, rural
diversification and sustainability champions who support the New Forest’s landscape and economy.
Alison Barnes, Chief Executive of the New Forest National Park Authority, said: ‘the Forest is a living,
working landscape and can only survive thanks to thousands of dedicated people joining together as
a “Team New Forest”. We’re fortunate to have many exceptional people who go above and beyond
to sustain our landscape and unique way of life. The New Forest awards reflect these outstanding
contributions to the environment, rural economy and our communities.”

With their highly commended Sustainability Champion recognition, Barnes applauded New Forest
Collection’s carbon reduction targets, Green Butterfly campaign, lawns to meadows scheme and
electric vehicle charge points.

This result, comes just shortly after New Forest Collection were awarded 4 stars by Quality in
Tourism (QiT), making them the first in the New Forest National Park and Hampshire to achieve such
recognition. Alongside receiving a trailblazing silver for their Responsible, Ethical tourism (REST) and
food (FARE) operational excellence.

Following the award ceremony, Garry Baldwin, Managing Director, said “receiving such recognition
is yet another great success for the Collection. Following on from our national recognition with our
Silver REST award, being highly commended, so locally, means a great deal to us. Thank you to the
National Park Authority and the CLA”.

Each New Forest Collection venue is located in the heart of the National Park with beautiful New
Forest heathland and wandering New Forest Ponies along with picture postcard villages just a short
walk away.
