This Christmas, New Forest favourite, The Bell Inn, is introducing a festive party menu without a traditional roast Turkey in sight!

Those wishing to celebrate the festive season at the 18th Century family-owned free house with rooms will be able to enjoy a 3 course ‘Turkey Free’ menu for just £24.95 per person.

The ‘Turkey Free’ menu will be available from 1-23 December and will feature Asian-influenced starters such as Thai squash and coconut soup with coriander oil and prawn crackers or tempura prawns. Or why not savour the taste of the New Forest with locally sourced mushrooms on toast with garlic butter and Fluffet’s Farm poached egg? Starters are followed by The Bell Inn’s signature kiev with potato two ways, crispy kale and pancetta crisps as well as their very own twist on the American mini ‘sliders’ with sticky cider pulled pork, pulled minted lamb, Hampshire beef burger, fries and slaw. If there’s still room, desserts include Banoffee split with toffee popcorn and banana textures or ‘hot’ cheese and biscuits featuring breaded Camembert, spiced grape chutney and cheese straws.

Head Chef, Mark Young, said “I feel there are lots of great twists that can be applied to festive feasts at this time of year. We will, of course, be serving Turkey on Christmas Day itself, but for those who have many parties and events to attend in the run up to the big day itself, a menu without a traditional Turkey roast or Christmas pudding in sight may well be a welcome change!”
