New Forest Marque Autumn Market returns at new Lymington location

The New Forest Marque Autumn Market returns this October, bringing together local food, drink, arts and crafts at a brand-new location – Shallowmead Nurseries near Lymington.

Taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, the popular market will showcase a selection of New Forest Marque producers and makers, offering visitors the chance to discover and buy everything from locally produced food and drink to handmade gifts and creative work from Marque Inspired members.

This year’s new setting also brings some exciting additions to the weekend.

Discover on-site distillery 820 Spirits

One of the highlights will be the chance to go behind the scenes at 820 Spirits, the artisan distillery based at Shallowmead.

For the first time as part of the Autumn Market weekend, 820 Spirits will be offering guided distillery tours, giving visitors an insight into how its spirits are made, followed by a welcome drink and tasting of four spirits.

As a special offer for the New Forest Marque weekend, tours are £15 per person, with sessions running throughout Saturday and Sunday.

The distillery will also be open for tastings across the weekend, with its full drinks menu available.

More to discover at Shallowmead

The market will be part of a wider weekend at Shallowmead, which brings together its nursery, independent pop-ups, farm shop, café and 820 Spirits distillery in one New Forest setting.

Mabel’s Café will be open throughout the weekend, serving light dishes and afternoon tea with garden views and comfy sofas.

Music will feature throughout the weekend, with acoustic singer-songwriter Jon Yale performing at lunchtime on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon, the Milford West Gallery Quire will bring the sounds and spirit of the West Gallery era to the market, with lively folk-infused songs, characters and dance tunes offering a glimpse of village life at Harvest time.

With free entry and parking, the Autumn Market is a chance to spend some time discovering local producers and makers, enjoy food and drink, and experience the new home of the New Forest Marque’s autumn market. Dogs on leads welcome.
