New Forest Marque Inspired welcomes new member: Evelyn Bartlett

Evelyn studied graphic design at Kingston, but after some years as a designer and illustrator, and a long career break, now paints full-time. ​Turning away from her ‘conventional’ illustration in pen, colour pencil and water-colour, she has developed a strong, distinctive style using gouache.  

Evelyn lives close to the New Forest coastline and, as an artist, is constantly inspired by the landscapes, seascapes and wildlife of the area. Her graphic design background is evident in her style of painting – but it is evolving all the time. Inspiration comes especially from the changing colours and moods of a single day, or a whole season.
