We want to give a warm welcome to Tracy Dovey – the latest artist to join New Forest Marque Inspired. Tracy lives on the edge of the New Forest and is inspired by folk culture and wild places.

In her own words:

‘I use folklore, folksong, old customs, games and rituals to explore contemporary issues. I seek the stories that connect us and as an artist I’m thinking of different ways of pinning them up on the metaphorical village hall notice board for all to see.’

Tracy also runs the Village Hall Draw art workshops around the New Forest. The classes are designed so that beginners or anyone whose confidence needs a boost can easily join in and quickly feel comfortable trying different materials and ways of approaching a subject.
