New Forest Marque Inspired welcomes new member Nature Thyme

We’re delighted to welcome Nature Thyme – created by local author Ali Hoyle, to the New Forest Marque Inspired community.
Ali has recently launched a series of four seasonal children’s storybooks. Her ‘Wizz and Fizz’ series is inspired by her volunteer work at Four Acre Farm in Ringwood, where she lives. Four Acre Farm is a no-dig market garden, wildlife habitat and community space. Ali runs a children’s gardening club at the farm and wanted to read books to the children about vegetable and wildlife characters which reflect seasonal changes in the forest and garden. So, the two little mushrooms Wizz and Fizz were born – along with all their fruit, flower, herb and vegetable friends that live on Dilly-Dally Farm and in Dilly-Dally Woods.
Ali hopes her books will encourage children to fall in love with the wonders of nature, to look after the land and to grow their own fresh veggies!
The New Forest holds a special place in Ali’s heart as she has lived in the area for over 20 years. She enjoys walking in the Forest and taking time to reflect and connect with nature – listening to birdsong, wandering beneath the trees and spotting wildlife. The free-roaming horses, cows, donkeys and pigs bring her much joy, and the whole Forest brings Ali a sense of calm, ‘a place to pause, breathe and just be’.
For Ali joining the New Forest Marque means supporting local makers and businesses – which in turn helps to protect our environment, reduce our impact on the planet and keep our community thriving.
Welcome to the New Forest Marque Ali – we are excited to have you!
