The hotel has a fascinating history stretching back centuries. New Park Manor was first mentioned in 1484, when custody of the estate was awarded by the Crown to John Huton. During the Civil War it was owned by Sir George Cary, a Royalist and descendant of Jane Seymour, before becoming a favourite hunting lodge of King Charles II following the Restoration. Today, New Park Manor remains a reminder of the rich royal and cultural history woven into the New Forest.

Food is an important part of the experience at New Park Manor, with the hotel working closely with local suppliers and businesses. At The Stag Restaurant, guests can enjoy a refined yet relaxed menu showcasing local and seasonal produce, while the family-friendly Vinery Restaurant offers a more casual dining experience. There’s also the quintessentially British tradition of afternoon tea, with homemade scones, and sweet and savoury treats.

And it’s not just families who are catered for. Guests can unwind at the hotel’s Good Spa Guide 5 Bubble spa, with forest-view pools, relaxing treatments and an adults-only terrace featuring outdoor hot tubs overlooking the New Forest.
