New Forest Marque welcomes new member Hythe Shed (at the Pier)

We are delighted to welcome Hythe Shed (at the Pier) to the New Forest Marque.
Located at Hythe Pier, The Hythe Shed is a friendly community workshop. Using the wide-ranging skills of its local members, Hythe Shed creates a wonderful handcrafted and unique items inspired by the beauty of the New Forest.
Many of their creations are made using timber sourced from the New Forest, with products ranging from hand-crafted wooden mushrooms and hand-painted bird boxes to wooden sculptures, hedgehog boxes, planters and made-to-order oak chopping boards.
Hythe Shed plays an active role in supporting the local community. Their workshops have contributed to the restoration of Hythe Pier and the historic electric train carriages, helping to preserve an important part of Hythe’s heritage.
The Hythe Shed is much more than a workshop and shop. It’s a welcoming space where people can meet to mend, repair, learn and share skills, all over a cup of tea or coffee. Knowledge is passed on, friendships are formed, and traditional skills are kept alive.
We’re proud to welcome The Hythe Shed (at the Pier) to the New Forest Marque family – a brilliant example of local skills, sustainable materials and community spirit in action.
Membership of Hythe Shed is open to all by invitation. Their shop and small museum are open three days a week. Find out more by visiting their website: Hythe Shed (at the Pier) and their Facebook group.
