Show your love for local this Valentine’s Day in the New Forest
Valentine’s Day can feel contrived these days with swathes of chocolate in the shops and a badgering by the media to get romantic in the most cliché of ways! With the cost of living high and the feeling of over-indulgence still lingering from Christmas, why not consider an alternative Valentine’s day by showing your love for the New Forest, and keeping it low-key and local?
- Surprise your loved one with a gentle New Forest walk with a stop off at a cosy pub or hotel for a glass of bubbly or a hot chocolate. We recommend The Trusty Servant in Minstead, Master Builder’s House at Bucklers Hard or The Crown Manor in Lyndhurst.
- Support local by ordering in a takeaway from Anissa’s Thai, Lyndhurst or Pizza from Shappen Café, Burley.
