We are delighted to welcome Emily Hancock to New Forest Marque Inspired.

Emily is a mixed-media equine artist and photographer based in the New Forest. She began her career more than 20 years ago as an equine photographer and over time, her work has evolved into a distinctive artistic process combining photography with materials such as wax, ink and natural textures to create unique pieces of art.

‘Living and working in the New Forest, the landscape and its animals are a huge part of my inspiration and daily life,” says Emily. “The freedom of the ponies, the ancient woodland and the changing seasons all influence my work. I love the feeling that the Forest holds centuries of history and stories – that quiet sense of timelessness often finds its way into my artwork.‘

Alongside her artwork, Emily also runs a commercial photography studio in Ringwood, helping local businesses tell their stories through imagery and film.

Emily had long admired the Marque before she decided to apply to join – notably our support for local producers and our passion for the landscape and its heritage. For Emily joining felt like a natural way for her to connect her work with the landscape and community.
