We are excited to welcome Alyssia Lindsay – The Artful Hare to New Forest Marque Inspired.

Based in the small village of Marchwood, Alyssia creates truly one-of-a-kind, hand-etched metal plates inspired by the British Isles. She is especially fascinated by the folklore, mythology and stories that surround our flora and fauna here in the New Forest.

Each piece begins life as a carefully etched metal plate. From this, Alyssia produces a limited number of fine art prints before the original plate itself is framed, becoming an artwork in its own right. Every plate and print is accompanied by an illustrated story page, sharing the folklore, symbolism or natural history of the creature or plant it depicts.

Much of Alyssia’s inspiration comes from time she spends in the Forest. You may find her wandering through the ancient parts, drawing old oak trees, looking for deer antlers and exploring historical landmarks.

A strong believer in championing local, joining the New Forest Marque was an exciting prospect for Alyssia:
